English and polish
Elements words, grammatic
structures, syntax from Polish and English
languages are sometimes mixed. The most common cases are native
speakers of Polish who try to speak English by translating
Polish sentences pretty much word-for-word, or where English
words are used in Polish speech - like in computer jargon
or advertising.Nowadays with the new wave of emigration from
Poland to Ireland and United Kingdom, mixing Polish and English
has evolved into an emigrants slang.Such mixing is also sometimes
used for comical effect. Some well-known examples:Thanks from
the mountain (literal translation of Z góry dziekuje,
meaning Thanks in advance)
We can offer you such a room for Mozemy zaoferowac panstwu
taki pokój, which should be We have a room like that
Some people refer to it as Poglish, Polglish or Pinglish,
but these terms aren't common.Alternatively, just add -ski
at the end of every word.
Some words which are trans late
